Saving Tip # 24 and #25 Smells so good, and saves time and money! OK-when you’re a busy mom like me, it’s hard to keep up with everything. My trick to making my house look good is, dim the lights low so you can’t see anything. Light a candle, throw on some jazz, and spray my rooms with a scent, to get rid of the scent that’s really there. This only works in the evening, so unless you’re a really good friend, I won’t answer the door during the day. So when I ran across this on Pintrest I had to try it: #24 Carpet Powder- 2 cups baking soda, 1 cup borax, and a few drops of essential oil or warming oil. Mix this well, sprinkle on your carpet and vacuum 15min. later. I love lavender and linen. It makes me look good. Store it in an old Parmesan cheese container and remember to label. #25 Room Spray- 1/8 cup fabric softener, 2Tbsp baking soda and fill the rest of a 27 oz. spray bottle with warm tap water. That’s it, shake and spray in any scent you want.
The disclaimer, although I love these products I can’t guarantee that you will. Don’t eat it, don’t rub it in your eyes, or do anything you shouldn’t with it. It’s a tip.
